It is the end for Ten Hag; there is no coming back
- Explore the latest developments signaling the end of Ten Hag’s tenure, with implications suggesting no chance of a return.
There is “no coming back” for Erik ten Hag as Manchester United’s manager, according to former Premier League striker Chris Sutton, whose tenure is drawing to an end.
Despite leading 3-0 with 20 minutes remaining at Wembley, United’s victory over Championship team Coventry required penalties on Sunday to get to the FA Cup final.
They were ousted in the Champions League group stage this season and currently sit seventh in the Premier League, 16 points behind the top four.
Sutton commented, “I really don’t know where Ten Hag goes from here,” during Monday Night Club on BBC Radio 5 Live.
“It is the end for him now; there is no way he is coming back after that.”
Shay Given, a former goalkeeper for Manchester City and Newcastle, concurred, stating: “The writing is clearly on the wall for him.”
He appeared disoriented on the touchline at times, so it doesn’t look good for him. The club is currently filled with a lot of noise.”
