- Discover the details of NXT Spring Breakin’ 2024’s explosive first week, which saw matches full of action and unexpected twists that laid the groundwork for a great season.
In a spectacular victory over Tatum Paxley and Lyra Valkyria in a Triple Threat Match, “The Prodigy,” Roxanne Perez, maintained her hold on the NXT Women’s Championship.
The champion grinned as he watched a fierce struggle between Valkyria and Paxley, which started the contest because of their old animosity.
After Perez entered the ring, the three Superstars lost all prudence, with the insane Paxley throwing both of her opponents hard to the ringside area as a pause in the action.
Following an impressive 450 splash, Paxley looked like she was going to win the title, but Perez’s quick thinking allowed her to roll up Paxley with a jackknife cover and keep the title.
No Quarter Catch Crew vs. The D’Angelo Family: Six-Man Tag Team Match
The official did everything within their power to keep the bout under control as all six Superstars engaged in combat before the bell even rang.
From the moment the battle got underway, The D’Angelo Family took charge, with The Don publicly criticizing his rivals for not paying him for the work he had done for them.
Even after Stacks withstood the onslaught, Tony D’Angelo met a similar end thanks to the athleticism of Damon Kemp and the mat prowess of Charlie Dempsey.
The Don defeated the Heritage Cup Champion with a crucial victory thanks to Luca Crusifino’s demolition of Myles Borne, which made it possible for The Don to hit a huge Spinebuster on Dempsey.
Fallon Henley lost to Jaida Parker.
When Jaida Parker triumphed convincingly over Fallon Henley on her largest stage to date, her already rapid climb reached new heights.
With Lucien Price, Bronco Nima, and SCRYPTS present at the ring, Parker took the fight to Fallon Henley, but the cowgirl answered back with powerful blows and amazing technical talent.
Though Henley had the upper hand, Miss Parker’s decisive triumph came from a stunning hip attack and a toss into the ropes.
Blair Davenport loses against Sol Ruca in a beach brawl.
In a beach brawl match, Sol Ruca easily overcame her longstanding opponent, Blair Davenport, feeling completely at home.
Ruca and Davenport wrecked each other with beach-themed furniture, picnic tables, surfboards, and anything else they could lay their hands on.
Ruca threw the tough British Superstar through a table, but Davenport was on a mission to put Ruca back on the shelf due to an injury.
Ruca won via a spectacular Sol Snatcher after tossing her dead opponent into the ring.
One of the greatest victories in Lexis King’s early career came when he defeated Baron Corbin in singles play.
Although Corbin intended to teach the newcomer a lesson, the cunning King attempted to steal a victory by using devious strategies, such as placing his feet on the ropes for leverage.
King was able to hit Coronation and emerge victorious after quickly drawing attention away from the official and nailing Corbin below the belt.
Ilja Dragunov lost to Trick Williams in the NXT Championship match.
HOOOPS, THAT TRICK!
After defeating Ilja Dragunov in the main event of Spring Breakin’ Week One, Trick Williams is now the official NXT Champion.
Trick unleashed a barrage of blows in an attempt to overcome The Mad Dragon in the opening moments of the bout, even hitting him with an H-Bomb and a Torpedo Moscow.
After that, the vicious Dragunov tried to remove the announce table, but it didn’t work out that way since Trick honored Booker T by slamming a huge Book End through the table.
After launching an H-Bomb and two top rope H-Bombs, Dragunov made a tremendous comeback, but Trick managed to kick out on both occasions.
It was a trick shot that solidified Trick’s reputation as one of the greatest in NXT history. The two Superstars stood up, looked at each other, and gave it their all.
