With a 101-99 victory over the LA Lakers, the defending champion Denver Nuggets took a 2-0 lead in their NBA Playoffs first-round series thanks to a buzzer-beater from Jamal Murray.
The Nuggets overcame a 20-point hole behind the play of Murray, who finished with 20 points overall.
The Lakers led 59-44 at halftime and 68-48 early in the third quarter, thanks to 24 points by Anthony Davis in the first half.
However, the Lakers gave the Nuggets momentum in the third quarter by missing eight straight attempts.

“I told my team-mates when I was struggling, I’m going to look for y’all,” Murray stated. “And they all, without exception, advised me to keep shooting.
“I’m thankful enough that that was one of the few that went down for me.”
The main player for the Nuggets, Nikola Jokic, led his team to win over the Lakers for the tenth time in a row with 27 points, 20 rebounds, and 10 assists.
