Lance Stroll of Aston Martin set the fastest marks at the conclusion of a practice session at the Chinese Grand Prix that revealed nothing about what to expect over the weekend.
He was 0.327 seconds clear of Oscar Piastri of McLaren, Max Verstappen of Red Bull, Sergio Perez of his squad, and Nico Hulkenberg of Haas in third place.
Charles Leclerc finished ahead of Carlos Sainz for Ferrari, the second-fastest team so far this season, as they finished 13th and 14th.
