In the Stuttgart Open first round, Emma Raducanu of Britain maintained her form comeback victory over Angelique Kerber in a straight-set manner.
Raducanu won 6-1, 6-2, in 1 hour, 26 minutes, with little difficulty from the former world champion.
After winning both of her matches to help Britain defeat France in the Billie Jean King Cup over the weekend, it was the 21-year-old’s third victory in as many weeks.

After losing five straight matches, Ons Jabeur, a two-time Wimbledon finalist, defeated Ekaterina Alexandrova of Russia 2-6, 6-3, 7-6 (7-1).
Nineth-ranked Jabeur of Tunisia has suffered from physical problems this season and hasn’t triumphed since defeating Raducanu in Abu Dhabi on February 7.
In the meantime, Italian Martina Trevisan defeated former world number one Naomi Osaka 6-4, 6-2 in her clay-court comeback match at the WTA 250 in Rouen.
The 26-year-old Japanese player had not competed on clay since losing in the first round of the 2022 French Open. Her four major championships had come on hard courts.
Since returning from maternity leave this year, Osaka has won eight of her fifteen matches.
